http://grangevillegolf.com/photo-gallery Fo’ Sistaz is a universal stage play about the real life relationship between four sisters, thus the title Fo’ Sistaz. The play focuses on their complex lives and how they deal with ordinary situations in extraordinary circumstances. Similarities and differences…marriage and divorce…life and death…ups and downs…silence and noise…defeats and victories…pain and comfort…defiance and resilience…Fo’ Sistaz!
Undoubtedly, Fo’ Sistaz is an emotional ride of self-identification and family dependency through the feminine lens of various religious and cultural perspectives. This play takes the audience on a journey to discovering the real lesson behind the love that real sisters share…a bond that cannot be broken.
Calvin Ray wrote Fo’ Sistaz to give honor to his mother and his aunts. He has watched them survive some of life’s joys and displeasures, but at the end of the day, their sisterhood proved triumphant. After watching them grieve and love in the lobby of the hospital where there only living brother died, he was determined to show the world how real sisters love. So Fo’ Sistaz is the real deal about the real deal…using dramatic comedy to bring light to commonly known bleak stories.
